We get things wrong sometimes. When that happens, we would rather fix it in the open than quietly edit the page. This is how it works.

How to report an error

Email info@ampainsoc.org with “Correction” in the subject line, the URL of the article, what you think is wrong, and a source if you have one. You can also use the contact form.

What happens next

We acknowledge the report within five working days and check the claim against the sources we can find. If the error is confirmed, the article is corrected and a dated note is added at the bottom of the page saying what changed. If an article cannot be fixed without rewriting it entirely, it is unpublished and the address redirected to the closest relevant page.

What we fix without a note

Typos, broken links, formatting. Anything that changes a fact, a figure, a recommendation or a conclusion gets a visible note.

Correction log

Corrections that change the meaning of an article are listed here, newest first.

October 2026: no entries yet. The homepage and the about page were rewritten this month to remove claims about a testing laboratory, a panel of testers and media quotes that could not be substantiated.
