Non-Interventional Pain Management Physiatrist

Marshfield Clinic - Marshfield Center is seeking a Non-Interventional Pain Management Physiatrist to join our Pain Management Service. The ideal candidate will be experienced and/or board certified in pain management. The responsibilities for this position include new evaluations of chronic pain patients; subsequent follow-up care and treatment; medication and behavioral management; and minimally invasive procedures.

Marshfield Clinic is a physician led multi-specialty group practice with 40 clinic locations throughout Wisconsin. This position is located at our Marshfield Center campus, home to Marshfield Clinic's main campus as well as Saint Joseph's Hospital, a 504-bed tertiary care hospital.

The Johns Hopkins Interdisciplinary Training Program in Biobehavioral Pain Research

Funded through the National Institutes of Health through the NIH Roadmap for Medical Research, Grant T32 MH75884

Co-Directors: Jennifer Haythornthwaite (SOM) and Gayle Page (SON)

The goal of this 2-year postdoctoral program is to prepare fellows to work within an interdisciplinary research team to address the complex challenge of pain. This is achieved by integrating training in two or more areas of expertise—behavioral/social science, biomedical science or clinical research.

The program incorporates coursework, mentored research experiences in at least two core areas, an individual research project, preparation of extramural grant applications, and experience in writing and publishing papers. Each fellow is collaboratively mentored by two faculty, each representing a different area of expertise.

We are currently accepting applications for Summer/Fall 2008. The application deadline is July 1, 2008.

We are also accepting applications for July 2009. The application Deadline is December 8, 2008.
